My son and I both suffer from GERD, Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease, and therefore get really horrible heartburn and indigestion due to acid reflux. It’s very painful and sometimes even causes vomiting. I currently take Prevacid for my reflux problems, but it gives my son a stomach ache, so we’ve been trying to find a good Acid Reflux Medication that will help him to be more comfortable and not have as much reflux without also making his tummy hurt. When you have reflux disease, it’s difficult to enjoy some of the foods you may really like. You have to be careful what you eat even if you are taking medication because some foods can make you very uncomfortable and even make you end up vomiting. Sometimes it hurts worse than others, but food is one of the biggest contributing factors. It’s best to avoid tomatos, tea, and tons of other stuff like oranges, and even chocolate. I also have found that drinking a little milk does help when you are feeling bad due to acid reflux.

My son sent me this email yesterday from my mom’s house and although I find it cute, I was unable to find the 4 hidden words. I only found 2. Here is the email…
“gfgih9iru89f9g9eukekooirkiroeoeoeieeiryoyovdd dfk kd kddkdk kfekw fkkmommygdfjdsg ud
vjdjd njfnj jfv j jhd hsd fhu ghdg hbgifuhbguidsnfuhnfhusnfhudhueheartri0iuen.en

did you find all 4 hidden words?”
Now, the words I was able to find were mommy and heart. Can you find any other words?

I’ve finished the school supplies shopping. To be honest, I kind of cheated, because I simply could not find the plastic pocket folders with brads.. so I ended up getting paper pocket folders with brads. Oh, well! I called his school this morning and spoke with some lady up there and asked if it was that big of a deal and she said no, if I can’t find them then just get the paper ones.
I had originally gone to Target, then Walmart, then Kroger.. and then yesterday I called a few places and still nothing, except for Office Max. The girl said they had them. Well, the girl lied. I went there this morning and they didn’t have any such folders. Several other moms were there looking for them also. So I said screw it and got the paper folders.
In a moment of weakness I really did almost end up buying the stupid prepackaged school supplies. But I had to talk myself out of it because I can’t see spending $57.99 on school supplies. Speaking of that, I had been keeping a tally of how much I spent on his school supplies so that I could compare. The total ended up being $19.64 plus about an hour and a half of my time. I’d say it was well worth it. My kiddo is now all ready for school to begin and all I have to say to that is Yay!.

I’ve run into a snag in my school supply shopping, so the quest to find Eric’s school supplies is proving to be a way more difficult task than last year. I almost broke down today and bought the pre packaged thing, but I’m so close to being done, if I can only find the last few items. Plus the pre packaged thing is like $57. I guarantee there’s not more than $25 worth of stuff in there, but they feel they can rip you off because of convenience I guess. Whatever. I’m getting more frustrated by the minute. I actually went to Walmart today, and if anyone knows me they know that I despise that store. But I am getting desperate. I called the other Walmart stores in my area and even a few not so in my area to see if they had the folders I’m looking for, but no one seems to have them. Yes, I said folders. The only thing keeping me from being a successful back to school shopper is FOLDERS!! He needs plastic folders with pockets and brads and I simply cannot find them anywhere. Wait, that’s not quite true, I have found tons of orange and purple. But he only needs 1 purple one, I think that’s why there are so many purple ones still left. I’m really about to break down and just buy paper pocket folders.
Anyway, I’m keeping tabs on how much money I spend on school supplies only because I’m curious as to how much it actually costs to buy them separately versus buying them in the per packaged thing.

So late last night my son called me from my mother’s house cause that’s where he’s at right now and he asked me if it was okay if my sister cut his hair. Before I go any further I must elaborate on my sister. She is mentally handicapped, which is to say that she is very slow, and the only hair cutting she knows how to do is to shave completely bald, and even that needs to be fixed usually. But anyway, I explained to him that if she cuts his hair, he will have to start school with a bald head looking like a skinhead. He says to me, I want my head shaved, I like it. So I told him to go ahead if he wants to. He’s 8, it’s his head. If he wants to look foolish, then he can look foolish. Besides it’ll grow back out soon enough. I just can’t believe he’d actually want my sister to cut his hair off. It makes me wonder what my mother is slipping in his food.
