My son has been acting weird lately. His attitude gets out of hand and he gets rather emotional at times. If I didn’t know any better I’d think he was hormonal, lol. My mom says it’s just the "preteen thing". Uh… he’s 10. I’m not dealing with "preteen things". I mean if I have no choice I guess I’ll have to, but I won’t like it that’s for sure.

His friend had been staying over here for almost an entire week. It almost started to feel like I had two kids. He finally went home on Wednesday, but on that same day my sister came over because my parents went to a water park and she didn’t want to go. Now she’s home and Eric is at grandma’s house for about a week to give mommy a break.

With me taking summer classes and him being out of school for the Summer, I definitely need a break every once in awhile. My mom’s good about that, too. She likes having him over.  Thank goodness.

I’m so going to enjoy my free weekend!

Quickie

I’ve been letting my son’s friend stay the night the past few days. They’ve been basically staying up late and playing games and just having a good time. I don’t mind because my kiddo really likes having him over.

Today I have to go and pick up my book for my 2nd summer session class. It starts today, but assignments aren’t due for awhile so I’m not too stressed about it. I am not looking forward to having to go to school though, as the other classes this summer had been online.

Speaking of this summer, it’s really flying by. I can’t believe it’s already mid-July. What’s going on here? Where did the time go? It’s bewildering to me.

I’m already looking forward to school starting, which is just terrible. I’m ready for Summer vacation to be over already!

I Had A Nice Day

Today I spent the day with my cousin. We ran some errands, did some shopping and had lunch at Kelley’s. It was really fun. We didn’t do the shopping that we were supposed to do, however, which is find gifts for her sister’s baby shower that’s coming up. But we still had a good time.

I found a really cute shower curtain that I’m eventually going to hang in my son’s bathroom once they’ve finished repairing it. I found some really cool outdoor pillows for my back porch that kind of had a Native American style to them, but I didn’t get them because I didn’t want to pay what they were charging. It was at this cool flea market type of store that we went to. I’d never been there before. They’ve got all kinds of cool stuff though.

Anyway, it was nice spending time with my cousin, we don’t get to see each other nearly as much as I’d like. Hopefully we’ll get to do that again real soon.
