With all this talk about Christmas, my readers probably think I’ve forgotten about Thanksgiving! I haven’t though. I’m very much aware that next Thursday is Turkey Day. We always have a big Thanksgiving Day celebration at my mom’s house. Most of my entire family usually shows up. This year though, my Aunt Laura isn’t going to be there and that makes me kind of sad. She moved to another city about 3 years ago and we don’t get to see her as much as we’d like anymore.
Anyway, I’m taking Eric out to my mom’s today after school and then picking him up when I go out there on Thanksgiving Day. This gives me a little time to relax. I can always use time to relax. Who couldn’t? My mom gets way into the holidays with decorations all that stuff. This year I’m going to surprise her and order her some beautiful Thanksgiving flowers from 1-800 Flowers, and have them delivered the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. That way she’ll not only have a beautiful center piece for the table, but she’ll be happy that I thought of her and ordered them. I’ve ordered her flowers from 1-800 Flowers before, on her birthday and I remember how much she loved them. She still has the vase that they came in and uses it all the time.

I’m almost certain I’ve said this a thousand times before, but here it is again for good measure. I am a chocolate addict. I love Christmas because I will most certainly get chocolate from someone this year, just like I do every year. Last year a friend of mine sent me some gourmet chocolates from Gertrude Hawk. Ever since then I have been obsessed with Chocolate from Gertrude Hawk. They’re absolutely amazing. I’ve already picked out about ten different things I want from there this year. I’m probably going to get some of the chocolate and peanut butter Santa smidgens, as well as the dark chocolate peppermint patties, and of course the signature assortments. I love boxes of assorted chocolate. Man I feel myself gaining 10 lbs already!

As I’ve stated a thousand times before, I am a shoe girl. I love shoes of all sorts. I feel a woman can NOT own too many pairs of shoes. My cousins feel the same way. I know this because they’ve commented on my vast shoe collection many times. With this in mind, I’m delighted to see the amazing selection of Baby Phat Footwear on the Baby Phat website. Two of my teenaged cousins are going to absolutely love me because this year I am getting them both a pair of shoes from BabyPhat.Com. Their new arrivals are absolutely sexy. I’m going to have to practice so much self control when I’m shopping for them, otherwise I’ll end up spending all my money on myself. LOL.
Anyway, I found some really sexy boots that I know my cousin will absolutely love, and they are on sale, too. That’s always a plus. I have to be careful how much money I spend there because I am on a budget and I’m not quite finished with my son’s Christmas shopping yet. I’m just the type of person who loves to make people I care about happy. I care about my cousins and I feel it’s a waste of time to get someone just any old gift. I enjoy finding things that I know they’ll love and actually use. What’s the point, otherwise?
