People Can Make A Difference
If I haven’t mentioned it before, I absolutely LOVE ABC.Com. When the new season of all the shows I watch started I totally didn’t realize it and I missed the first few episodes. So tonight I decided to watch a missed episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition. The episode I watched was about a family with 2 daughters who had SMA, a debilitating disease that keeps them confined to a wheelchair. Their home wasn’t suitable to live in because the girls couldn’t go anywhere or do anything due to the fact that the home was split-level and they can’t walk. Their mother had to carry them up and down stairs all the time. Anyway, that’s not even the part that really got my attention the most. It’s about CVS Pharmacy. In most episodes that I have watched in the past year or so, I’ve noticed that CVS is getting more involved. They paid off this family’s mortgage and medical expenses on this episode. They’ve done that alot for families in the past. I think it’s wonderful of them, and yes I am aware that it’s a tax write off, but who cares? Look what they do for so many people. I think it’s simply awesome. What they, and what Sears does for these families is just so great. Look how they change people’s lives? I’m a firm believer that money can’t buy happiness and it definitely isn’t the most important thing in the world, but it sure does help. You need money to have any kind of life, even if it’s just a little bit and so many of us especially with the economy being the way it is, worry about money on a daily basis. It’s so nice that there are companies like that that help make some of our lives just a little less worrisome.
