I did some online Christmas shopping a couple of days ago, and some of the kidd’s Christmas gifts are on their way! I’m relieved to have gotten some of it done. I’m usually finished by now but I’ve just been preoccupied I guess. I haven’t been “into” the holidays this year like I usually am. I’m pretty sure alot of that has to do with some personal issues that I’m going through right now. I don’t want to elaborate on that right now, though. Anyway, I have several things still that I am going to get him, all of which I should be able to pick up at Toys R Us. It shouldn’t be too hard, because I know my kid pretty well and I know what he likes and doesn’t like. I also don’t believe in getting a ton of senseless gifts just for the simple fact of “having alot of presents”. I put alot of thought into each and every item that I choose for my son, that way none of his gifts ever go “untouched”.
Right now he’s really into Lego Star Wars stuff, and it seems that every other boy around his age is also because that stuff is kinda hard to find at the moment. I did manage to get him some of the things that were on his Christmas list, and hopefully I’ll be able to find a few more things that he really wants. I’m not going to get him every single thing on his list though, that would be absurd. My son is spoiled, but he’s not THAT spoiled. LOL

Tomorrow Eric is going on a field trip with his class to The Houston Zoo. He’s been to there several times before, but he’s looking forward to it just the same. What kid doesn’t like the zoo, anyway? It’s going to be cold out tomorrow I believe, so I’ll have to dress him accordingly. I’ll tell him to take some pictures with his phone while he’s there.
Anyway, he came home from school today and said someone “framed” him for something he didn’t do. It made me chuckle because for some reason it made me think of that old movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit? He said some kid in his class said something mean about one of their classmates and then blamed it on Eric, and he got in trouble for it. By trouble, though, I think the teacher just reprimanded him or something cause he really didn’t lose any playtime priveledges or anything like that but he was kinda mad just the same. I just found it amusing that he actually said he was “framed”.
What else..? Oh yeah, Eric called me around noon from the nurse’s office to tell me he threw up and needed to come home. I refused to rush out and pick him up this time, because he does this at least once a week. He has reflux and sometimes throws up. I told the nurse to have him lay down for about 10 minutes and if he felt better then send him back to class, but if he still felt sick then I’d come pick him up. He ended up being fine, though, and is currently outside playing with his friends.

For his birthday my parents got Eric a game for his Game Cube and this really cool lava lamp thing for his bedroom. He really likes it alot. He also got some money from a couple of his friends and some lego starwars sets. My aunt got him a lego starwars set also. (My son is really into lego starwars right now.) I got him 2 small lego starwars sets that I let him open up on his actual birthday, which was Wednesday, and I also got him this double movie Ghostbusters thing. It has Ghostbusters 1 and 2. The reason I got that for him is because I always hear him in his room listening to the ghostbusters song on youtube, and I knew he’d never seen either movie. I also know what kind of movies he likes, so I knew he’d love it. I was right. He watched both Ghostbusters 1 and 2 tonight and actually fell asleep with the little boolet that came with the movies in his hand. It was too cute, I should have snapped a picture.
I also got him an mp3 player. He had one from last Christmas but it was an inexpensive one, cause I hadn’t wanted to spend alot on it because I wanted to see how responsible he’d be with it or if he’d even use it. Well, he used it every single day and it eventually stopped working (because it was cheap). I was able to take it apart and fix it, it was cheaply put together and some piece inside wasn’t connected very well. It worked for a few more months then another piece inside disconnected and I was unable to fix that piece. He asked if he could use my mp3 player until he got a new one, so every day he’s been taking my mp3 player with him to school. He listens to it on the way to and from school as well as anytime we go anywhere. He specifically asked for a new mp3 player for his birthday, also.
I was going to get him the Creative Zen Mozaic. (I have a Zen V and it’s absolutely wonderful.) However, I couldn’t find any in any stores when I went looking, so I settled on getting him a Philips Mp3 player. It’s super nice and plays not only all audio formats, but plays videos and stores photos as well. It also has a radio on it. My Mp3 player doesn’t even have that. He’s already transferred all his favorite songs that he had store on his computer over to his mp3 player. He loves it. I’m glad. Making him happy makes me happy.
Anyway, sorry for the huge posts about the kiddos birthday, but it only happens once a year so I figure you guys don’t mind reading these big ole long posts as long as I don’t make them a habit.
