Just Some Stuff I Wanted To Write About

I ordered Eric some jeans from Sears.Com last night. It’s been getting code and he’s outgrown the jeans that fit him just 3 months ago. He’s a growing boy, though. That’s what kids do.

Anyway, I drove Eric to my mom’s house and got to see my cousin’s new baby tonight. She babysits the baby while my cousin and his wife work. He’s so adorable. I mean I know most babies are adorable, but some are like extra super adorable or something. He knows he’s a cutie, too. He’s a happy little boy, and is super ticklish. Grr.. I’m getting the “I want one” feeling right now because I absolutely love babies. Deep down though, I know I don’t really want another child, but man are babies cute. Babies always make me feel good inside for some reason, and that’s something I don’t feel very often.

Anyway, while Eric is at my mom’s I’m going to relax a little bit and I’m also going to try to get some much needed cleaning done. The much needed cleaning actually consists of going through my son’s room and trying to figure out a way to make room for the new stuff he’ll be getting at Christmas. That’s going to be tough.

I Don’t Really Like Weekends

Most people love weekends, don’t they? Staying home, sleeping in, and relaxing are reasons to really love the weekend. But when you are a work at home parent, it might be a different story. I don’t like the weekends all that much. I get nothing done and my home is a wreck. I like the weekdays when I can get my son off to school early and get some things done around the house, as well as get a ton of work done before he even gets home. I also have time to take a nap usually.

Anyway, I don’t want to spend the next few posts complaining or ranting, I’m just feeling pretty frustrated these days. Maybe I’m PMS’ing. That would explain it. I’ve decided to help my son clean his room today. I can’t stand it anymore, I hate even going in there. It’s such a wreck, and it’s obvious he won’t be doing anything about it any time soon, no matter how many times I tell him to clean it. He’ll get started, but he’s so slow that it takes hours just to get anything done and then it gets late.. and nothing is really accomplished. I’m thinking of throwing out alot of his toys that I feel he doesn’t use anymore or that are broken. He has too much crap, taking up too much space, and he doesn’t pick up anything so it looks like a huge pile of junk. Maybe I’ll be in a better mood once that pig sty is cleaned up. >;[

Safe And Effective Critter Removal Methods

My mom has one of the best gardens I’ve seen. Or she did. She used to have the freshest ripest tomatoes, peppers, she even grows several banana trees. She was so proud of her garden at one time. Eric loves going over there and helping with their garden. He likes picking the lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and even digging up the potatoes. The only thing that he doesn’t like are the bugs and other weird critters that have been inhabiting my mom’s garden lately. My mom doesn’t want to use any pesticides or poisons to get rid of the pests, she wants to find a more humane and natural way to do so. That’s pretty nice of her considering they’re messing up her lovely garden! Thankfully there are websites like Havahart.Com that can show you different and humane ways to help get rid of the bugs and pests.

Another problem she is having is with raccoons getting into her trash and making a huge mess almost every night. She also says the noise they make scares my little sister. She gets freaked out cause it’s so dark outside and hearing those noises are just creepy. My mom can’t stand the mess they’re making and is looking for a good racoon repellent that is both natural and safe. Havahart.com suggests using their Critter Ridder, which is a pepper based repellent that is available in liquid or granular applications. It can be used indoor or outdoor and lasts for about 30 days. They also have a product called Get Away. That’s a raccoon repellent that you spray and can last anywhere from 7-10 days.
