Well, my very good friend Tracy just had a baby the other day. Her new little girl is so beautiful. I stayed at the hospital with her most of the night when she went into labor because her fiancĂ© wasn’t in town. He came back as soon as he got the news she was in labor, but it took him a while to get here. She didn’t want to be alone.
She gained a bit of weight during her pregnancy, but the thing is that she didn’t seem to get one single stretch mark. When she first found out she was pregnant, I gave her some good advice. I told her to take plenty of warm (not overly hot) baths and to apply stretch marks cream generously every day. I totally had OCD with that stuff. It works.
Stretch marks are one of two things that actually sucks about being pregnant. The other thing is trying to get back to your pre-pregnancy size. It’s harder for some than others, but eventually you can lose the baby weight. If you don’t do your best to prevent stretch marks, however.. you could have them forever.

I’m always very leery of taking any types of medications, whether they are over the counter medications or prescribed. I like to research all of the side effects and then make an informed decision on whether or not the ailment causing me to need the medication is worse than the possible side effects. So even though I want to lose a bit of weight I am not the type to use diet aids of any sort. Reason being that I have yet to find diet pills that work that also have minimal to no side effects. I’m not naive to the fact that anything you ingest into your body will more than likely produce some sort of effect, but then again that’s why I am leery of taking anything to begin with.
Man, if someone knows of any type of diet aid that has little to no side effects and that will actually work, hook me up!

My son has been acting weird lately. His attitude gets out of hand and he gets rather emotional at times. If I didn’t know any better I’d think he was hormonal, lol. My mom says it’s just the "preteen thing". Uh… he’s 10. I’m not dealing with "preteen things". I mean if I have no choice I guess I’ll have to, but I won’t like it that’s for sure.
His friend had been staying over here for almost an entire week. It almost started to feel like I had two kids. He finally went home on Wednesday, but on that same day my sister came over because my parents went to a water park and she didn’t want to go. Now she’s home and Eric is at grandma’s house for about a week to give mommy a break.
With me taking summer classes and him being out of school for the Summer, I definitely need a break every once in awhile. My mom’s good about that, too. She likes having him over. Thank goodness.
I’m so going to enjoy my free weekend!
