Eric made dinner tonight. It was pretty good. He made something he learned to cook while taking a cooking class over the summer. He didn’t remember the recipe exactly so he kinda winged it and it still came out very tasty. He didn’t want me to help him at all so I was forced to stay out of the kitchen. Luckily, I have a smart child and I feel I didn’t need to worry much about safety because he knows not to fool around. The food was pretty good but the problem is he didn’t make much and I’m kind of hungry now, several hours later.
When we went to Target to get the ingredients I looked around at their little dollar section because they sometimes have cool stuff. I bought a little diffuser with vanilla oil for $1 and I also bought a pack of Christmas cards for $1. It’s only 8 cards, but for a buck it’s not bad at all. Eight isn’t very many though, and I’ll need more. For close friends and family members I want to get something more personalized like these christmas photo cards. I think they’re really cute.
Anyway, I think we’re going to get our tree set up tomorrow. Eric’s really looking forward to that.

While I’ve got a little time to myself today I wanted to work on this site a little. There are some changes that need to be made, although I’m not sure exactly what I want to do. I am considering a layout (theme) change, but I’ve grown accustomed to this one. I might just keep this “layout” but make some changes to color and images and what not. It’s been like this for a long time.
I also need to work on increasing traffic because I’m unhappy with the Alexa score here. It’s in the 400,000s area and I want it under 100,000. I’ve got several options though, in order to do that. One being that I can start doing entrecard daily again, I can submit to tons of free directories, I can BUY traffic (which I don’t think is actually going to happen) and/or maybe get some more link exchanges going.
I know I’m probably never going to get a page-rank here so no big deal. I already know why and don’t really care that much. I don’t put a lot of emphasis on Google’s page ranking system anyway. So that’s not really important to me. It’s funny because even though I don’t have a page-rank on here, this site comes up in Google searches all the time. I mean, I’m not overly certain how that works but I was under the impression that your page rank helped determine Google search results, or maybe it’s the amount of backlinks? I’m not really sure as I said.
Either way, I’m going to start making some changes in here soon.

This morning I was trying out this new search engine thingy that I read about on the internet the other day. It’s kind of cool, I mean it’s kind of like Google but not exactly. One thing I can say about it is that it’s faster than Google, that’s for sure. And as you type, results come up. It’s weird, it’s like "real time." When you type a search in Google, for example if you are to type dental implants Plano into Google’s search bar, as you’re typing you get some suggestions but you don’t actually get the results until you hit "search." With this other search engine, if you were to type in the same phrase, search results come up as you are typing. For example, as you type first the d, the most popular search results for that will pop up then when you type in the e, results pop up for "De," and as you’re typing out dental implants Plano, more search results are coming up. It’s cool because you find some really interesting and helpful things that you might not have normally even gotten in Google. Anyway, I like it.
