It’s Quiet
Well Eric is at my mom’s house for about the next ten days. I can’t say that I won’t miss him but I also can’t say that I’m not glad for the break. My 13 year old cousin was also here visiting for a few days so it was a bit more crowded and messy the past couple of days.
Anyway I was supposed to take him to my mom’s yesterday evening but when my aunt came to pick up my cousin my mom, sister and my other aunt were with her so they took Eric with them since my mom had to go home anyway. She lives like 45 minutes out so it did save me some time. My mom was disappointed though she was making one of my favorite dinners (chicken enchiladas), but it didn’t make any sense for me to drive all the way out there when they were already going.
So my other aunt who came along was eyeballing me while I was in the kitchen and she kept saying how I look like I have lost weight. I told her “Yeah, depression will do that to you.” Honestly I have not even had an appetite lately. I had planned on trying to lose 5 lbs but it seems with the way things are, I lost almost 10 without even trying. That’s always good, I guess.. but I could do without the depression. It’s off and on though, but my lack of appetite lingers. I don’t know why. My aunt said she was jealous, because she is unable to lose weight. I guess the older you get the harder it is to lose, and she’s been using some kind of fat burner supplement to lose weight.
So yeah, it’s nice and quiet here without Eric but I do miss him. I just needed some time to myself and time to get my home back in order. I can’t stand messiness of any kind. It gets lonely here, and although I have a couple of friends over every now and then for the most part I’m by myself with my thoughts. Lucky me.
Eric still might go to Corpus for a few weeks this summer, but since I’m not doing as much traveling there is no need for him to be gone the whole summer. It’s just so weird how everything changes so suddenly.
