Bad Behavior
So the other day I get a note from Eric’s teacher (one of them) saying that he hasn’t been turning in his homework and he’s been getting way more conduct marks and having to be corrected more than usual lately. I was not pleased, for obvious reasons. The homework thing I didn’t understand because I make sure he gets his homework done so I was confused as to why she was saying he wasn’t doing it. I asked Eric about this and he said that he always forgets to put it in his backpack and ends up leaving it at home. This was annoying to me especially because I tell him every time he finishes it to put it in his backpack. But whatever.
The conduct marks and bad behavior I am not sure how to explain. He has been getting more conduct marks lately than ever. I had a talk with him about his behavior and I think I’m going to modify who he actually talks to and plays with because I think alot of his bad behavior is due to bad influence from a couple of kids he spends time with. I know their parents aren’t very involved in what is going on with their kids, and that bothers me. Their kids rome around the apartments freely until it’s dark and then they head home. I mean it just seems rather irresponsble to me, and makes it hard to keep them well behaved or well disciplined when they are basically able to do whatever they want. So we’ll see if there’s any change in his behavior in coming weeks.
