Mommy’s Been Busy…

Well, I never got around to writing about Easter on here. I don’t know why, but it honestly just slipped my mind. It’s been over 2 weeks, so it’s really not even that big of a deal now. I will say that the kids all had fun despite the fact that the weather turned out really crappy. My mom went through this whole “schedule change” where she called everyone who was, might and even probably some people who weren’t going to be attending that they were doing the whole Easter thing on Saturday instead of Sunday due to the weather. Alot of good that did. The weather on Saturday pretty much sucked, and most of the day was spent indoors. If you knew how small my mother’s house was and how many people showed, you’d understand why it was not as fun as it could have been. There were like 20 young children there, too all fighting over the Game Cube. Ridiculous. I was PMS’ing so when no one was looking I snuck off to my mom’s room and took a much needed nap. That was the extent of our Easter. I think while I was sleeping the kid’s did the whole pinata thing and ate. Idk.. the kids had fun at least. Here’s a couple of pictures of Eric’s Easter basket I put together.

Anyway, after all the candy intake, and the leftover Easter candy I have here at home I’ve been tempted to try this new workout from Kettlebell workouts that I heard about. I might need it after all this.

Saving Where I Can

Eric is getting to be quite a big boy, and although I know it’s quite normal because he’s growing, it does get expensive having to buy new clothes all the time. I have been trying to find ways to save money throughout the year so that when the time comes for me to do his school shopping I am able to get him the clothes he needs. I’ve been considering looking into those wholesale clothing places because sometimes you can find really nice things at a super low price. The liquidation and factory outlet stores are also good for that. It’s something to consider, at least, when shopping for a growing kid.

Doing Some Traveling This Summer

I am planning on doing some travelling this summer and I’ve been pricing airfare and hotel accommodations. I’m not sure yet if I’ll actually need any hotels but just in case I do, I want to be able to determine the cost of all of my travel expenses and anything else that may come up while I’m away. No one likes to be stuck with unexpected expenses. I’ve been searching various websites like Westgate looking at reservations for hotels, flights and stuff like that. I am also thinking of taking a road trip this summer to visit some friends, sometime in late July. I don’t know the exact route I would take, but we’ll see. Either way, I’m hoping to have a fun time this summer. My son will be with his grandfather for the summer so I’ll have the entire summer to do as I please. :)
