Odd Jobs I’ve Had

I’ve had some pretty strange jobs in my past. I’ve worked as a skip tracer, a cashier, and a balloon printer before. I even once worked at an adult video store for a whole twelve days. Once a few years back I even helped verify insurance leads. How that worked is this guy I knew online would email me a huge list of leads and I would have to manually go through each life insurance lead and verify the name and address was correct. It took about 1 minute for each one and he paid me $2 per lead. It added up pretty quickly. I’ve also worked for a federal judge and I’ve worked as a telemarketer. When you have a child to support, you find yourself doing whatever you need to do to make it.

Cleaning Eric’s Room

Tomorrow I’ve decided that Eric and I are going to get his room cleaned (again). I’m just tired of looking at it to be honest. I mean he has all this nice stuff and a problem keeping up with it. I want to get an Xbox 360, but if he can’t even keep his own room clean I won’t be letting him play it. It’s a pricey thing for him to just not take care of. I mean he already has his own computer, a LCD HDTV, video camera, gaming consoles, and just about every toy you can think of for a 9 year old boy and he can’t keep his room picked up. It’s frustrating and annoying to me. If he wants nice things he should be able to take care of them, but whatever. So yea, that’s what I’m probably doing with my Sunday.

The Annuals

I’ve got to get my vehicle inspected by the end of this month. It’s just another one of those things that come along with being a responsible adult. I’m not looking forward to it for the simple fact that they always start looking for other things wrong. The minute I see them driving my car on to one of those automotive lifts I start to get worried. I guess it’s all part of how the game is played. Everyone needs money so of course if they can find a reason to charge you for something or get some extra work out of it they will. Such is life.
