New Year’s Resolutions

Around the beginning of every year, people talk about their New Year’s resolutions. I used to make resolutions years ago, but I stopped doing so because I always blew them within the first month. I honestly think making a resolution on New Year’s is basically just setting yourself up to fail. I don’t think resolutions are ever really meant to be seen all the way to the finish. Most times a New Year’s resolution is just something we want to do or need to do that we feel we are too weak to do. That’s where the resolution comes in. If we can resolve on New Year’s to get it done, then of course we have given ourselves a goal, a reason and an agenda. The problem is, if it’s something you really wanted to do, you’d have done it already and you wouldn’t need a resolution to even consider getting it done. I don’t know if that makes sense, but that’s basically how I see it. Now, if I had made a New Year’s resolution, it would have been to lose a little weight. I did not resolve to do so because I knew that would be pointless and I’d break the resolution probably within the first few months because I don’t do diets very well. Although I’ve heard of a new weight loss supplement called Anoretix that’s supposed to be really good. I might check it out. Either way, I’m going to get started on my non-resolution just as soon as I finish eating this chocolate snack cake. :P

It’s pretty true… Crap hit the fan and my new years resolutions went out the door. Hope you got goals to achieve though this year :) Hope your weight loss goes well, I might check out that product as well

Hi Destiny, that’s the exact reason I don’t make resolutions. Thanks for the well wishes! :P

I have not made a resolution this year, but I have made aims and check them off the list when I do them.

Jane, That’s exactly what I do. I just create goals for myself and if I do them then good for me, if I don’t.. well at least I didn’t break some stupid promise to myself. :P
