Progress Report Time

So Eric brought home his progress report today, and it wasn’t good. Well, that’s not entirely true, his grades were excellent but his conduct wasn’t good at all. His teacher wrote that he is constantly talking in class and disrupting other children. The thing is, I don’t know if it’s because he finishes his work and is bored or if he just likes to talk. I mean I know he likes to talk, because sometimes he can’t be quiet at all, but at school I’d have figured he would be able to practice a little self control. I guess I was wrong. Anyway, I told him if he ever brings home a conduct grade like that then he was in big trouble. I haven’t figured out what that big trouble is just yet, but when I do, boy let me tell you.

Anyway, along with his progress report he brought home a “school report card”. It turns out that his school is actually a pretty good school, and ranks higher than most schools in the state academically. I’m glad I chose to move here so that he could go to a good school. I don’t regret that decision at all.

I’m glad to hear that school ranks so well. That’s so bad that he talks so much. Maybe start with working on it at home too, like when he starts to talk too much and you’re doing some important task make him sit still and that way maybe he’ll learn some chatter control? heh
