Blah BLAH BLaH

Well, Eric’s Winter vacation is over. He doesn’t get any other days off from school until March, and that’s spring break. I’m so looking forward to that already. I love my child, but a week straight of him home is alot to deal with. He keeps me busy, that’s for sure. He had a great Christmas, though, and he’s gotten alot of use out of his new video camera and the Nintendo DS. I did not know that you could play Mario Kart DS with someone else and not actually have to have 2 games. The only downfall is you can only be “Shy Guy” on the DS that doesn’t have the game hooked up. That’s ok, though it was still fun.

I don’t really have alot else to say right now. It’s been kind of an uneventful week other than tons of housework. Eric’s behavior has been okay, for the most part but he is really pissing me off with his inability to keep his damn room clean. I’m just about sick of it. I really don’t know what I can do to get him to stop being so lazy other than taking things away from him. I’m sick of cleaning his room for him all the time, it’s not like he’s a baby. Anyway. Yeah.. that’s the update on our great lives. :)

I always say if you find a child who likes to clean “Then you are a very lucky person” because most kids don’t like cleaning at all.

You have to teach them when they are really young because if you start any later then you are going to have a hard time getting them to do it when they get older.

So if you have to start taking things away from him to hopefuly make him see that he needs to clean his own room then that’s what you have to do.

I’m sure all the fun gifts and good treatment he got over xmas doesn’t help with his laziness to clean his room. Kids can be so stubborn.

Glad he’s getting use out of his new xmas gifts, I know some kids (my niece & nephew) who play with the things one time and never touch them again!

I agree all the new xmas goodies probably don’t help with being lax about cleaning his room. Seems like if you have to take things away from him to make your point, do it. I mean it definitely can’t hurt.

Aww I’m glad your son enjoys his gifts. Winter Vacation went by too fast … although … it’s about 2 weeks here and schools were open again last week. Goodluck with getting him clean up his room. Not sure how my parents pulled it off, but somehow they were able to get us clean up our rooms when my brother, sis and I were little *ponders* M maybe finding a way that makes cleaning up his room actually pretty fun. But … I understood from your earlier posts your son is a smart little guy – so that might not work at all XD g goodluck !

Aww Im glad you and your boy had a good holiday :) however, you sound just like my mom when I was in school and out for the break. Lol but by the next break she was ready for me to be out of school so she didnt have to wake up early to get me ready :P Ahh a mother’s work is never done right?

Aww – I’m glad your son had a good Christmas. I can understand having him home all day, everyday can get difficult but I’m sure he’s loved spending the time with you. :)
