Home Security

Well, I’ve been trying to talk my friend into contacting ADT about a getting a security system installed. She just had a baby and she is home alone with the baby at nights alot because her husband’s work requires him to do alot of travelling. She doesn’t know much about home security, but I do because my grandmother has a really nice security system that I actually talked her into getting installed. Right now she can get a home security system installed for $99 with the purchase of an the company’s Alarm Monitoring Services. That’s a great deal, and just knowing that they’ll be monitoring her home when she is alone or when she is away would definitely help her husband rest better at night.

My boyfriend actually has an ADT security system installed in his home and it’s been a great relief, especially since he goes out of town alot. It’s good to know that someone is monitoring your home for you while you are away. What’s also nice about his ADT system is that he has service called CellGuard, which is helpful if you either don’t have a regular phone line or perhaps your power goes out. It’s a definite must, especially if you have a VoIP line.

Blah BLAH BLaH

Well, Eric’s Winter vacation is over. He doesn’t get any other days off from school until March, and that’s spring break. I’m so looking forward to that already. I love my child, but a week straight of him home is alot to deal with. He keeps me busy, that’s for sure. He had a great Christmas, though, and he’s gotten alot of use out of his new video camera and the Nintendo DS. I did not know that you could play Mario Kart DS with someone else and not actually have to have 2 games. The only downfall is you can only be “Shy Guy” on the DS that doesn’t have the game hooked up. That’s ok, though it was still fun.

I don’t really have alot else to say right now. It’s been kind of an uneventful week other than tons of housework. Eric’s behavior has been okay, for the most part but he is really pissing me off with his inability to keep his damn room clean. I’m just about sick of it. I really don’t know what I can do to get him to stop being so lazy other than taking things away from him. I’m sick of cleaning his room for him all the time, it’s not like he’s a baby. Anyway. Yeah.. that’s the update on our great lives. :)
