My child is obsessed with The Ghostbusters. All he basically wants to do with his time is watch Ghostbusters. He even took his Ghostbusters DVD to his friends house this afternoon so that they could watch it there. This weekend he’s going to my mom’s and I asked him if he wanted to go to Grandma’s house and he goes “Can I bring my Ghostbusters movie?” LOL
I mean when I picked it out for him for his birthday, I knew he’d like it. I remember when I first saw Ghostbusters, I thought it was the best movie ever. His favorite gamecube game is Luigi’s Mansion, which is kinda like Ghostbusters. Luigi goes around this haunted mansion with this vacuum and sucks up ghosts. I mean I guess there are worse things he could be obsessed with than the Ghostbusters movie, right?

Eric just got home from school and his field trip to the Houston Zoo. He took some cute pictures, but alot of them turned out too small because he zoomed in. There’s one picture of a lion that I thought was adorable on the phone, but when I uploaded it, it was too small. The lion was laying on his back with his legs up in the air and looked like he was waiting for someone to come along and rub his belly! I wouldn’t ever rub a lion’s belly, though.
Anyway, here’s a picture of a diamondback rattlesnake. This is kind of scary, I’m not sure if the snake is really huge or if Eric was really close to it.

This is a picture he took of some giraffes. I thought the picture came out really good, and giraffes are one of my favorite animals so I wanted to post this particular picture.

And this is a komodo dragon. This was eric’s favorite creature to see at the zoo. He couldn’t stop talking about it, and was super excited because he actually got to pet it!

Anyway, there are other pictures, but it takes time to upload each one from my phone, so I just picked out a few of the best ones. I love the zoo.

I just wanted to write something real quick now that I got Eric off to school. He should have a really good day, since it’s field trip day and all. His school shirt that I bought a few weeks ago finally came in yesterday so he wore that today. The shirt is royal blue with gold lettering on it, and the kids were all encouraged to wear their school shirts today. If they don’t have school shirts they were told to wear something blue so that they matched all the other kids on the field trip. I think this is in part to help them keep all the kids together a little better while at the Houston Zoo. I personally think that’s a pretty good idea.
I had to take him to the convenience store this morning before he got on the bus to pick up a couple of bottles of water. They were asked to bring bottled water in their lunches instead of the usual drink pouches or whatever. I think this is in case they get thirsty while walking around they can drink out of the bottles and then seal them back up. Can’t do that with juice pouches or boxes. Anyway, so we had to leave a little early to get the water, and he wanted to bring some of his money out of his little ATM thing he has and buy a disposable camera. I told him to just use his cell phone though, and save his money. I mean to me it seems like a waste of money when he has the cell, but he wasn’t sure if his teacher would allow him to take pictures with his phone. If the ringer is off though, and he’s not talking on it, I don’t see a problem. Hopefully it works out.
