When I was in elementary school, and 3rd grade especially, we did not get much homework. My son, however, gets homework daily. Every single day he has to spend about an hour on spelling words and math facts. I know it’s good for him, but I kind of feel sorry for kids nowadays. I remember once my aunt saying she couldn’t believe how much homework my cousin was getting in 4th grade and now I see what she means.
I used to let him go outside and play with his friends for a few hours before making him sit down and do his homework, but now that he has so much of it to do I just can’t let him do that. Now he has to do his homework first, and sometimes it takes him awhile to do it. I’m afraid if he goes out and gets himself worn out then he will be too tired to concentrate on getting his homework done.
Anyway, if you’ve got school aged children.. do you think they get too much homework?

My favorite hamburger is definitely the Whopper from Burger King. Chris and I were just recently talking about this the other day, in light of the monopoly game being released for play at McDonald’s, and we both firmly agreed that the best hamburger’s definitely come from Burger King. I just like the way the beef tastes. They cook it differently than most places, that might have alot to do with it. McDonald’s burgers are basically tasteless and if you don’t load a bunch of other junk on the burger it’s really not even worth getting. The Big Mac is even drowned in thousand island dressing as opposed to how they used to put just a little bit. It’s disgusting. Wendy’s is decent, but if I eat at Wendy’s I usually end up getting the chicken club or spicey chicken sandwich.
We have a place here called Jack In The Box, and that fast food restaurant chain should be in a category all in it’s own. They don’t make the best tasting hamburgers, obviously since Burger King does (lol) but they do have some really really good food, in my opinion. They have these bacon cheddar potato wedges that are just delicious, they sell rice bowls, egg rolls, burgers, chicken.. you name it they probably sell it. If they could just learn to make their burgers taste a little more like BK, they’d be my favorite place to eat. Not kidding.
