Lately at night I’ve been waking up with severe pain in my left leg. If I get up and walk around for a little bit the pain subsides and I’m able to get back to sleep. I’ve been told that it could be a number of things, and one of them is the fact that I am diabetic. It could also be a lack of certain vitamins in my body. Either way, my doctor suggested I get more exercise. So I’ve decided that my son and myself could both benefit from walking around the track by his school at least 2-3 times a week. He’s started to get a little chunky, too, so I know that the walking will do him some good as well. We probably won’t go until it gets closer to dark, because it’s so hot here. He doesn’t seem too enthusiastic about the idea, but I think once he gets into doing it he will start to appreciate it a little bit more. I also think it’ll be good for us in that we are doing it together. He loves doing stuff with his mommy.

That’s really awesome, especially if you keep it up. I find it nearly impossible to motivate myself, but once I do, I feel great afterwords.
Let me know how it goes for you. I just finished writing a post for tomorrow on needing to exercise more (I’m not at all now). It’s so hard to get motivated when any spare minute I get I want to relax and not get on a treadmill. Good luck to you, it sounds like your son will be a great workout partner!
You know I bought an IPOD just so I could go walking and not be bored. If found that it really helped to have music to listen to the entire time. I would walk fast on fast songs, and walk slow and slow songs.. I’m sure I looked silly but I felt great afterwards.
