I picked Eric up from the bus stop today, and after he got settled in he looked over at me and said “I can’t believe my nemesis is in my GT class.” This made me chuckle just a little bit. And I asked him the name of his nemesis and he replied “I can’t bring myself to speak his name.”. LOL. Children are so funny. I wonder why he calls this kid his nemesis, though. He wouldn’t go into details.
Sometimes I wonder what goes through my son’s mind on a daily basis. He’s always saying funny things, or coming up with funny ideas and it makes me wonder exactly what he thinks about. I wonder that about most children to be honest, because kids come up with things we would never even think about.
Last night Eric kept bringing me toothpicks and arranging them in a certain fashion and then asking me if I can move a certain amount of sticks to make another shape, or something like that. I couldn’t ever figure out his little puzzles, but it was something they learned in their GT class. I kind of felt stupid, LOL. Yes, that’s right, my 8 year old makes me feel stupid sometimes.

Hahahah your son sounds totally cute! He sounds very bright too. Hope all goes well with his nemesis – but woah “I can’t bring myself to speak his name.” Heheheh cool!
LOL! I found out today that his name is “Levi”. Levi the Nemesis. haha.
He’s a really bright kid. That’s cute that he’s only 8 but has a nemesis and is competitive in his gifted class already.
What I find funnier is not the fact that he has a nemesis, but the fact that he actually called someone his nemesis. I know for a fact I didn’t use that word once growing up. LOL
