I Think This Is Heaven

As I’ve mentioned before, my family is currently planning this big vacation to Florida soon. I have been to Florida, though, and I was kind of hoping we could check out some other place. My goal is to one day be able to say that I have visited every state in the USA, after all. I’ve been checking out some alternatives to Florida, and I found some awesome ocean-front vacation rentals in North Carolina that are absolutely amazing. Most of the rentals I’ve seen online are absolutely breathtaking. Some of these vacation rentals have private, heated pools, elevators, and you can even bring your pets along. Carolina Designs Realty manages some of the nicest vacation rentals I’ve seen thus far. Their outer banks rental properties are beautiful and come fully equipped with everything any family would need. For 2009, they are even providing free linens which most vacation rental properties don’t do. I have fallen in love with their current featured property - The Royal Caribbean I. It boasts 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. My absolute favorite thing about this particular rental is the home theater, which even has custom theater seating. It’s basically my dream house. It’s perfect for a large family, especially considering how unconvential hotels are these days. How enjoyable would it be for you and your family to live out of a hotel for any length of time? Considering what you get for the price, these vacation homes are definitely worth the money vs. paying for multiple hotel rooms.

Kids Come Up With The Funniest Stuff Sometimes

I picked Eric up from the bus stop today, and after he got settled in he looked over at me and said “I can’t believe my nemesis is in my GT class.” This made me chuckle just a little bit. And I asked him the name of his nemesis and he replied “I can’t bring myself to speak his name.”. LOL. Children are so funny. I wonder why he calls this kid his nemesis, though. He wouldn’t go into details.

Sometimes I wonder what goes through my son’s mind on a daily basis. He’s always saying funny things, or coming up with funny ideas and it makes me wonder exactly what he thinks about. I wonder that about most children to be honest, because kids come up with things we would never even think about.

Last night Eric kept bringing me toothpicks and arranging them in a certain fashion and then asking me if I can move a certain amount of sticks to make another shape, or something like that. I couldn’t ever figure out his little puzzles, but it was something they learned in their GT class. I kind of felt stupid, LOL. Yes, that’s right, my 8 year old makes me feel stupid sometimes.
