It’s so amazing to me, how as you watch your babies grow, they develop their own personalities and tastes. I know it’s all part of growing up, but just to see the changes take place right before your eyes is hard to absorb, especially for a mommy. I remember when Eric’s favorite song was “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine”, now though, his favorite songs are by Linkin Park and Green day. I have to watch carefully what he listens to because Green Day’s song lyrics are pretty explicit sometimes. Another of his favorites is 3 Doors Down. The funny thing about that is they are my favorite band. So my 8 year old son and I listen to the same music. It’s so weird to me, lol.

You’ve just gotta be careful with what you let your children listen to because they are so easily influenced and some of the more popular songs out today are rather questionable. I can’t even let my son listen to the radio show I like to listen to because of all of the adult related topics that they bring up ever minute. I know that stuff like that is what keeps people listening, but honestly we are getting so far away from “family” that it’s getting harder and harder to get back.
