My son absolutely hates taking a bath. He hates it so much that sometimes he literally pretended to take a shower, while in actuality he was sitting in the bathroom with the door locked and the shower running. He always gets caught though, because his armits are usually less than pleasant smelling when he hasn’t bathed. (I sometimes wonder if he can actually smell himself?) Anyway, the funny thing is he just came up to me and asked if he could take a shower. HUH? I was shocked, but of course I said yes. I think he wanted to take a shower because we are in a hotel room and he thinks it’s neat.
Anyways, do any of you have problems with your kids not wanting to take a bath? It’s frustrating!
That’s odd. I wonder why kids don’t like to be clean. I’m a clean person I think I was a clean kid too.
I was, too. I would say it’s a boy thing but alot of little girls I know hate bathing too.
I don’t have any kids.but I do have a lot of younger cousins – the girls are always happy to take baths but the boys will sometimes kick and scream but mostly because they don’t want their play time interrupted.
Maybe he just found the hotel bathroom interesting
I guess kids always want to try something new that catches their attention.
Oh, and I think kids (and adults for that matter) become immune to their own smell.
He’s definitely become immune. He even has this horrible foot odor. OMG HE DOESN’T EVEN NOTICE IT!!!!!!!!!
Haha, I remember my little brother used to do that. I don’t know why, bath time always seemed fun to me. I loved playing with all my toys and rubber duckies, pretending to be a mermaid, that kind of stuff =)
Bath time was fun to me, too! I think boys just like to be dirty, IDK!!
