School Clothes Came

Well this evening the clothes and shoes we ordered for Eric from Kohl’s finally arrived. I’ve only bought him 5 t-shirts, a hoodie, and a pair of shoes thus far but it’s a start. I plan on hitting up Target this week for socks, underwear, shorts, and school supplies. I’m really not looking forward to spending all that money, but it’s a yearly thing. In an effort to save a little money from now on what I’ve decided that I’ll do is buy several gift cards with my income tax money in January so that when August rolls around I’ve got gift cards that i can use to buy his school clothes and supplies. Around January people sell alot of gift cards on eBay that they got for Christmas and you can get them for a discounted price. We buy a lot of gift cards. :P

Anyway, check out the shoes Eric picked out. I think they’re pretty cool looking. They also come with brown and white laces so I guess you can choose which color you wanna use. I like his style, lol.

Kohls isn’t bad for an 8 year old’s clothing.. in my opinion. They aren’t walmart or anything. So HMPH.

Heh, I dunno. I just don’t think it’s good quality and it’s kind of social suicide to wear Kohls. When I was 8, I wore Abercrombie Kids.

LOL.. There’s no way I’m buying him that junk.. and as far as “social suicide” goes… well he’s 8. He’s got a set group of friends and they are all into that same style he’s into and he fits in perfectly with them. I let him pick out his own stuff. Sorry if I sound defensive, but I don’t take kindly to some 17 year old kid coming to my website and telling me I buy my kid crappy clothes cause you wore “Abercrombie Kids”. I wouldn’t have been caught dead in that crap and neither would my child. Thanks for your 2 cents though. :)

I never thought of buying gift cards in that way. I don’t know why I just never thought of people selling gift cards, but it makes sense.

A good thing about having uniforms here is that loads of places do 3 for 2 offers and stuff like that, so you can save quite a bit there.

You ordered the clothes online? Or did they not have it in the store so you had to back order? The gift cards are a good idea there. I didn’t know people sell their gift cards on ebay. They’re probably mostly for weird stores they don’t know what to do with hehe.

I ordered a few things online.. t-shirts and what not. Since I recently had surgery it’s harder for me to go shopping.

I dunno about the weird stores, lol. We’ve bought gift cards for best buy, circuit city, toys r us, walmart, and target all on eBay. One year we got 1,000. in gift cards to toys r us for 765.00. You’d be surprised at the deals you find. :P

I find it hard to believe people would want to part, for less money, with gift cards to good places. But hey too bad for them and yay that you’re able to get good ones!
