I’m feeling kinda lonely and I’m home all alone since Eric’s at my mom’s. I had to take him to my mom’s because I have 3 doctor’s appointments right in a row on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I miss him though, and I wish that my parents lived closer so that I wouldn’t have to drive him so far out for so many days. If they lived closer I could just drop him off for a few hours and pick him back up.. but with gas prices being the way they are and with the time it takes to drive all the way out there, it’s just not possible.
I went to a new psychiatrist today. She’s alright I guess. She kept asking me about my son, and how I got along with being bipolar and having a kid. I think she was just wanting to make sure I didn’t mistreat my son or whatever. I wouldn’t ever do that, bipolar or not. But I guess I can understand her concern… I’ve heard some crazy stories about that kinda stuff. I love my little (not really little anymore) punkin way too much to ever cause him harm like that.

I know I’ve posted a video up here before about mentos and coke, but this is a little different. Steve Spangler’s extremely intelligent son Jack Spangler made a little invention to fill up a bunch of cups of soda all at once using the mentos exploding soda experiment and a little contraption he made. He felt that it was too much “work” to turn the bottle upside down and pour it the regular, boring way. Isn’t he cute?

Wow I can’t believe how quickly summer flew by. It just seems like yesterday I was blogging about the activities I had planned for the Eric this summer. Just Wow. I have yet to get his school supplies, which if my calculations are correct will run about 50 bucks. I personally think that’s insanely expensive for school supplies. Things have changed so much since I was in elementary school.
So I’m the proud mother of a 3rd grader!! I’m excited for him because this year he goes to a brand new school. The way our school district is.. they keep the kinder, 1st and 2nd graders in one school and 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders go to a different school. I think that’s kinda cool because it keeps the older kids and the younger kids separated. He feels like such a big boy.
I haven’t gotten all of his school clothes yet. I need to get on that. I’ve gotten him like 5 new shirts and a new hoodie for when it gets cold.. and a new pair of shoes. He picked out some Tony Hawk shoes this year. His jeans from last year still fit, so basically I need to get him some new socks, underwear, and some shorts. Oh, and a new backpack. The next 2 weeks will be hectic, that’s for sure.
