I was going through some of my son’s old school work from last year and I found his creative writing folder. There’s some pretty funny stuff in here, let me tell ya…
Why my son wouldn’t ever want to be a Pirate
I would not want to be a pirate because they are smelly, they never brush their teeth, and they never take a bath. I do not want to be a pirate because they are always on a boat and I would be sea sick. I do not want to be a pirate because they do nothing but look for treasure. I would rather give the treasure to the poor. I do not want to be a pirate because they are jerks, they are rude, and they steal.
I don’t know about anyone else, but that is just too cute.

My dog needs a new pair of shoes. Yes, that’s right. I said my dog needs a new pair of shoes. That’s my excuse for not having Lasik. I couldn’t come up with any other reason, considering all of the other excuses I’ve used have been discounted. The main reason I would say I have avoided having Lasik done is because it’s expensive. Or is it? If you add up the cost of glasses every year, eye exams, contacts and all that you’ll see how inexpensive Lasik in Silicon Valley is in the long run. So price isn’t a valid excuse, what about limitations? After getting lasik, there’s tons of stuff you won’t be able to do right away, right? Wrong. There are very few things you won’t be able to do directly after getting Lasik done. So, stop with the excuses. Or come up with a better one!!
