So, my son has been through a few phones so far. He’s had the firefly, 3 or 4 of them actually. He’s had this cheap little Motorola, which still works even though I’ve washed it - twice. And more recently I finally gave in to him getting his own camera phone. He loves it so much. I got him the Motorola Razr v3, and he puts it to use very well. I know I previously said I didn’t think he was ready for a camera phone, but we’ll see how it works out. He really enjoys being able to take pictures. I like that the phone is so super flat, and it’s comfortable to use when it’s opened up. The speaker on it is great, also. I guess I’ll stop singing it’s praises though.. afterall it is just a cell phone. By the way, I’ve got the pink one just like it. ![]()

Just thought I’d share. ![]()

Cute phone! I also like super flat phones. Got one with a slide function myself.
I like the slider ones as well, but I prefer the flip phone because when opened they are longer and for some odd reason the longer phones that come closer to your mouth make me feel better about speaking to people on the phone in public.
WOW - I wish there’d been cell phones when I was eight years old. However I’m sure my mom wouldn’t have let me have one. *lol*
I prefer the slim phone also. I have Sanyo’s version of the Razr, the Katana and I adore it. And of course it’s pink.
There were no cell phones when I was eight, but I know for a fact even if they were my mom would have never given me one. Now though, ask her about it and she thinks it’s absolutely wonderful that my son has a cell phone. Personally, I think when he’s out with friends or his grandparents (they don’t have cell phones) and I need to get in touch with him or check on him.. or he needs to get in touch with me, he can. For me, the extra 10.00 a month for his phone to be on my plan is well worth it.
I don’t use it as a replacement for watching him or anything, but sometimes kids have a bad habit of saying they will be one place and then going to a totally different place. My son used to use the excuse that he didn’t “feel like coming home to ask you if i could go to so and so’s house”. With the phone he can just call me and ask if he can go or not.
Also, I love the Katana. it’s the perfect color. (the pretty pink one)
I have the silver one
The razr is my favorite phone now.
