Eric needs a new pair of sunglasses. He has an old pair of spiderman sunglasses but refuses to wear them now cause they are so “babyish” as he puts it. It’s just so bright outside and his eyes are so sensitive, that he needs something. I’m thinking of getting him this cute pair of Ray Ban sunglasses that I saw online. Well school is officially out for the summer. My kiddo brought home all his stuff today from school and got his report card. His grades are pretty good, not as good as I’m used to, but good nonetheless. I think the lowest grade he got all year was a 95 in math, so I can’t complain!
He’s going to my mom’s this weekend, which is cool with me. I’m driving him out there today and then I’ll have some time to myself. I so need it. Monday starts his week of day camp. I already bought all the stuff for his lunches and snacks while he’s at day camp next week. It’s going to be so hot outside, that’s my biggest concern, because it’s a nature camp.
Tomorrow he’s going to a graduation for a friend of our family, and my mom’s kind of pushing for my son to get a haircut. He refuses though, because he says he likes his hair the way it is and he’s trying to grow it out a little bit more. I think a haircut would do him some good, but I’m not going to force him. I mean, he’s 8 years old now.. I think he’s at an age where he is capable of deciding how he wants his hair to look, within reason of course. My mom’s not the one who has to wear his hair, he is, so I think ultimately if he wants to have a little shaggy head of hair, then so be it. I’m sure she’ll get over it.
