Quickie

Earlier I dropped Eric off at the local community center for a field trip I signed him up for. I guess it’s a field trip. It’s basically an all day thing where the kids go to a petting zoo, a scavenger hunt, then to play mini golf. He’s never played mini golf before. I’m sure he’ll tell me all about it when I pick him up this afternoon though. It only cost $20.00 for the day and they provide the children with lunch and a snack, so it’s really not a bad deal. I figured it was something he would like to do. In July he has the mini gourmet children’s cooking classes and the mad scientist labs at the community center. I really like that place, lol. I think I mentioned in here before that I used to go there myself as a child. It was fun back then, but now it’s way nicer with a lot more fun things to do.

I need to remember to enroll him in swimming lessons in August.

Materials Handling

I’ve been talking to my son’s grandfather lately about starting up a business. The reason I have been talking to him about it is because he’s been in the business before and I wanted his input and advice. The business itself would be a balloon printing business. Basically I needed to get with him on the types of machines I would need to purchase or have built if I actually wanted to start up something. I would need machines that blow up the balloons, then I’d need them to be printed, dried, deflated, and then put on a conveyor belt. I’ve done balloon printing before, so I know what it entails. He recommended that I go with a company like Conveyor Systems & Engineering, Inc that can set me up with custom conveyors that can carry the balloons from one place to the next so they can be weighed and boxed. They offer many different products to suit each individual’s needs like heavy duty stainless steel rollers, pvc rollers, stainless steel conveyors, table top chain conveyors, and high capacity corrosion resistant bearings. He said one of the most important things in the business is getting the right conveyer belts for the machines and for the packing room, because having the proper conveyors can keep cost of labor down as well as keep things running smoothly and efficiently. I’m still not 100% certain I am going to go through with this, but it is a fun job and I sometimes miss doing it. Conveyor Systems & Engineering, Inc specializes in customer solutions with a commitment to excellence and nearly 20 years of experience in the business. They provide unit handling conveyors as well as food handling conveyors and components for various otehr material handling applications. Their commitment to excellence along with their cost effective solutions make Conveyer Systems & Engineering, Inc a leader in their field.

The Fishy Pictures (Finally)

So I finally was able to get the fishy pictures off Eric’s phone. These are just some pictures he took on his last day of Youth Nature Camp. I’m not sure exactly what kind they are, if anyone knows about fish and could tell me what is what, that’d be cool, too.

Now on to the fishies..

School Clothes

Even though summer just started, I’ve got to think about getting Eric’s clothes for the next school year. He’s going to be in third grade. I can’t believe it. He’s got his own style, though, so I do let him pick out some, if not all, of his own clothing. He found some awesome Rocawear shirts, and I think they are pretty nice looking. Lately I have found myself particularly fond of the color orange, and they have quite a nice selection of shirts with orange in them. Now I just have to convince Eric that orange is a lovely color. I don’t know though, he’s partial to the color blue. Good thing Rocawear has such a huge selection of boys clothing. They also have a huge sale going on for this week only, so I think I better get to shopping.
