Health Insurance For All

Because I am considered “self-employed”, I must provide my son with medical insurance out of my own pocket as opposed to an employer or company providing it. As many of you probably know, medical insurance can be really expensive. I sometimes find myself looking around on the web for a better or less expensive insurance plan. CTVY-healthinsurance.com offers affordable plans for individuals as well as families. They specialize in providing insurance for self-employed individuals and part-time employees, and students too. To find the best Coventry Health Care plan to suit your needs, simply fill out the form on their website to get a free insurance quote. Their website also has a physician locator, pharmacy locator and their insurance brochures are available for download in pdf form.

Home Made Brown Sugar Scrub

My son made this scrub for me at school as a mother’s day gift. It’s a really simple and neat gift idea I thought I’d share with my readers. I also already used the scrub and it leaves your skin feeling amazingly clean and smooth. This stuff is marketed for upwards of about $65.00. Anyways, here ya go!

Ingredients:

1 Cup of brown sugar
1/2 Cup of Sweetened Almond Oil
1 tsp of Vitamin E
1 tsp vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp Honey

Directions:
Mix the liquids (almond oil, vitamin e, vanilla extract, and honey) together in a bowl. Add the brown sugar and mix it up really well. If you are just using it for yourself you can simply use a plastic storage container with a lid. If you plan on giving as a gift, or just want to make it look pretty, you can use some little decorative jars or bottles. If you like you can even decorate the bottles.

Got any ideas like this you’d like to share? Comment and let me know!

I’m So Proud Of Him

When Eric got off the bus today he ran up and hopped in the car and told me enthusiastically “I am the only one in my class who got a 100 on all 3 reading tests!!”. Yay. I’m super proud of him. He’s excited too, because he gets one whole week homework-free, lol. His math test is next Wednesday. I’m sure he’ll do well. I don’t stress him getting a “perfect” score, because then if he doesn’t he would feel like he let me down. I just simply encourage him to do his best and then praise him for doing so. Again, YAY!!!

:P
