A Unique Gift Idea

Cards Direct Photo CardsThis year, instead of giving my mom just any old ordinary Mother’s Day card that you can get at the grocery store, I wanted to do something a little different. I want to give her something unique and more meaningful than the simple pre-printed generic card. So I’ve decided to go with a photo card for my mom’s Mother’s Day card, and my step-dad’s Father’s Day card. Photo cards are so much more unique and personalized than the impersonal cards that I usually give them. I like how you can customize the cards with anything you want to say on the front and on the inside. If you want to go with their pre-printed verses you can, but I prefer to write my own messages on the cards. It’s really easy to create your own Photo Cards at CardsDirect.Com. All you need to do is either upload a digital photo or send them a special photograph that you would like to use and they’ll scan the photo and send it back to you. You choose what you want the card to say, or you can leave it blank and handwrite your own message. Photo cards are make excellent greeting cards during the Christmas Holidays and other holidays, but they also make excellent personalized party invitations, birth announcements, thank you cards, and graduation announcements. There are so many different ways in which you can use a photo card to make a personal statement, or to tell someone just how special someone is to you.

Planning For Summer

The kiddo went on a field trip Thursday to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. He came home so excited to tell me all about what he saw and learned. I love it when he gets that excited about learning. lol. They also got to see a movie at the IMax Theater. He said he got scared because it was 3D, and he thought a dinosaur was going to eat him. Too cute.

I’ve been planning my son’s summer activities, and I think I’ve just about got it worked out. My son’s grandfather was awesome enough to send me some money for his Summer Day Camp, and some other activities. He’s going to a Nature Day Camp, where he gets to visit the nature park, the outdoor learning center, and a few other places like that. I also signed him up for a children’s cooking class. It’s 2 hours a day, one day a week. I also signed him up for a science thing because science is his favorite subject. That one is 1 hour a day, one day a week also. I wanted to find things that he would enjoy, but that also would keep him busy. I love the city I live in and the school district, they are really big on children’s activities and family functions.

Anyone got any other ideas for the summer?
