Number One
Well, I’ve decided to make this blog mainly about parenting, motherhood in general, being a single parent.. and of course children. It’ll be random at times, like any other blog, informative at times, and hopefully somewhat entertaining. I will definitely do my very best to be creative, but sometimes unoriginality may strike. No, unoriginality is not a real word.
In this blog I’ll introduce my son. He’s not your average 8 year old boy. Most mothers think that about their children, right? My son is pretty amazing, even if I’m the only one who thinks that.
He’s extremely intelligent, one of only 2 students in his school in GT (gifted and talented), and very intuitive for his age. Eric, in his mother’s eyes, is nothing short of amazing, and I’ll be singing his praises a lot in this blog I’m pretty certain of it. As you will come to learn, I am very proud of my little man.
He’s not completely perfect, however, but who is? He’s got a smart mouth on him, always has to have the last word, and can sometimes be totally lazy. He has selective amnesia at times, as well as selective deafness. Meaning if he doesn’t want to hear something, he won’t, and if he doesn’t want to remember something he was told.. he “forgot”.
He’s got his own personality, though, like everyone.. and he’s capable of making his own decisions for the most part. I try to let him make decisions for himself while at the same time guiding him in the right direction. It’s not always easy. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t let him decide everything, but you have to give your kids the freedom to choose certain things. They are people after all.
Anyways, this is really all I have time for at the moment, but I will definitely have more to go over at a later time. I hope everyone who visits here enjoys reading and will come back to read more.
